I am excited about designing a new range of cushions using woollen fabrics from Melin Tregwynt in Wales. They spin their own yarn and weave the wool.
Their colours are rich, they have a versatile selection for individual preferences.

Have you ever been to the Old spitalfields market in Shoreditch? Laszlo and I went to drum up more customers for Zaliwana Accessories. We took out beautiful cushions which were adored by everyone, additionally we carried, children’s toys, candles, lanterns, ceramic art, place mats, napkin rings and brass figures.
It was a busy and lovely warm sunny day, however, the morning started off very quiet. Towards noon, shoppers started trouping in. I heard various languages spoken: english, dutch, chinese, japanese, french, italian, polish and punjabi.
The traders who had stalls near us were very friendly and kept looking into our stall to make sure all was okay! we look forward to partaking this Sunday again.
A whole trunk full of designed and handmade cushions at Zaliwana Accessories. The fabrics range from cotton to linen, silk to wool. The styles are also varied, with some being embroidered and appliquéd while others are plain sewn, however all have their unique characteristics. The shapes are mainly large and small squares as well as round. Colours include, chocolate brown, beige, French grey, moss, orange, pink,cream and multi. Beautiful trimmings adorn most of these cushions. Trimmings include Indian ribbon, tassels, velvet, sequins and beading. Limited quantities have been made in each of the styles.

Cushions can make a statement and transform a boring sofa or chair. This burgandy embroidered cushion features two bird motifs on the flower. The pink binding creates a subtle finish.
