Zaliwana Accessories is a home décor company created by Pamela Chimutwi. Handmade, globally sourced, unique products are at the heart of the Zaliwana Accessories ethos. It is a strong advocate of handmade products because it is about the quality, attention to detail, limited quantities and the uniqueness of each and every product, which therefore provides an original and pure beauty to the finished article.

It is a policy at Zaliwana Accessories to source its products globally from small, local communities that hand-make in an ethical manner. The company has a strong passion for supporting people who work to generate an income around the skills of their own family run businesses. Many of our products are sourced from Nepal, Transylvanian villages, India, Hungary as well as here in Britain.

The beauty of globally sourcing handmade products is the rich, vibrant and individual styles, tastes, textures, colours, textiles, design interpretations and its varying uses in the home. This provides an exciting platform for Zaliwana Accessories to explore, discover and support local communities from across the globe.

Pamela has a design and textile background and is passionate about vibrant colours and organic textiles. Bed quilts and bedspreads, throws, cushions and table linen are all designed by Pamela and sewn by Romanian artisans. She extensively uses cotton, silk, wool and linen fabrics. Embellished on some designs is Indian lace, crocheted cotton, crystals and velvet ribbon.

Fabrics are mainly also sourced locally, and included are collections from, Harlequin, Designer’s Guild and Zoffany. American designed fabrics are by Amy Butler, Michael Miller and Alexander Henry. Fabrics used are from natural fibres such as cotton, silk, mohair and linen. The quality of these fabrics speak for themselves in the way they have displayed their characteristics, such as the softness and delicate nature of silk, the sumptuousness and opulence of velvet, the warm and alluring way of wool.

Additional accessories supplementing Pamela`s designs have been sourced from artists and artisans around the world in a wide range of styles, designs, colours and textures. The quirky ceramic art is by the Hungarian artist Vertel and the brass figures by Indian artisans.

Its soft toys range is designed by two Danish sisters, En Gry and Sif and made by a community of Nepalese women. The products are made from felt and also crocheted from cotton or wool. It see Zaliwana Accessories’ full range of home décor products, visit: wwww.zaliwanaaccessories.co.uk
